Default How does /ignore work now?

When I saw someone spamming in trade channel, I usually click N then put them on ignore. Surprisingly that won't work at all, and I could still see their messages.

So ignore only works for private message? or do I need to quit/relogin to make that effective?

Any idea when/if they will implement a fix (enhancement?) so that you never see the ignored one's text anywhere?
TIA

Totally agree with you... There was a guy in the regular channel going:
Dumbass Spammer: Blue Dye 300g!!!
Dumbass Spammer: Blue Dye 300g!!!!
Dumbass Spammer: Blue Dye 300g!!!!!

Naturally I PMed him and told him to quit spamming and his reply is pretty much just "Go F--- yourself".

Yea... same sort of thing happens to me All the time, cause personaly... i think it's just stupidity that makes them spam the all channel with their trading crap... it's obvious that there's a trade channel...

They say "but i use it so all people hear it..."... Do they not understand that if you're not watching the trade channel/have it off, you more then likely don't want anything?... Seriously... the community is filled with more then enough idiots.

In fairness, I've had the game since the beginning of May and only in the last week have I realized that there is a separate trade channel. I just thought that the different colored text that people have started using was just some way to continue bot-spamming and work around an attempt to stop the spamming.

Spamming still occurs, regardless of channel, unfortunately.

I have been guilty of posting trade-related information in the main chat, but no more. Granted, in the past 6-7 weeks, it's only been about 10 lines total, however I apologize to anyone who I may have offended.

I believe the easiest way is just to switch districts most times. Not always the best option but it works.

Actually, I agree with that. I live in the international districts, and frankly - they rock. You do lose access to some of the traders in the larger towns, but for the most part, the peace and quiet can't be beat.
